Kaspersky Security for Exchange fails to open

So you’ve just installed Kaspersky Security for Exchange and everything seems great right up until you launch it.  Then this happens…

Then after click OK you see this

Could not load file or assembly ‘Ui.Mmc, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b7b31c87874abe07’ or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.

Don’t bother calling Kaspersky, they’re clueless.  The fix is actually very simple.  Make a backup of, and then delete, mmc.exe.config and mmc.exe.manifest from C:\Windows\SysWOW64.  That’s it!
